Argyle is a hard walk. It's hilly, it's long for us, and by the back nine on day two your legs know it. I love it there. I'd won the Prep Division on this course back in April, so I knew the layout — but this was the Invitational, a much stronger field, and I was nervous on the first tee.

After the first hole I told myself it's just another round. That was really the whole weekend. Stop thinking about who's in the field, hit the shot in front of you, walk to the next one.

The greens were true and in great shape, and my putter was hot all weekend. That's what won it. When you're making everything inside eight feet, the course gets a lot shorter, and I never felt like I had to force anything with the driver.

Shot 71 on Saturday to take the lead, then 71 again on Sunday. Two under, two days in a row, 142 total. I finished eight shots clear of the field.
